SureID tells employees more cuts are coming
SureID notified employees Friday evening that it had received “surprising and disappointing” news from its largest client, the U.S. Navy. As a result, the Hillsboro company said it plans more job cuts.
Once among the Silicon Forest’s most highly touted young tech businesses, SureID has been in crisis since April, when it lost a major deal to supply identification technology to the Navy.
SureID has laid off half or more of its roughly 550 workers in cuts that began May 8.
