Facing economic pressure, Johnson and Wales plans layoffs

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Johnson and Wales University is planning to lay off employees following enrollment issues.

The university announced it will lay off three percent of its 2,400 employees which amounts to about 72 positions. The Providence Journal reports faculty will not be affected by the staffing changes.
