Company announces layoffs at Beaverton campus, part of a worldwide resctucturing plan
Nike will lay off up to 745 employees in Oregon by the end of September, including major cuts at its world headquarters in Washington County.
In a letter to state officials on Aug. 31, Nike Vice President Marc Bohn wrote that the layoffs are part of a worldwide restructuring effort the company first announced in June.
“We presently expect that these workforce reductions will be permanent,” Bohn wrote. “The entire facility is not being closed.”
