Kirkland-based Inrix lays off staff as it reorganizes

Inrix, a Kirkland-based traffic data and car technology company, confirmed Monday that it had laid off “a couple dozen” people last week from its global workforce. The company, which also has offices in California, Europe and Asia, has about 450 employees total.

The layoffs come as Inrix is reorganizing, Inrix director of communications Mark Burfeind said, with plans to focus on traffic and parking data, analytics and OpenCar, a dashboard technology startup that Inrix acquired last year.
